question on waxing
Waxing twice won't make it glossier. If you want your paint brighter and glossier, you need to pick up a clay bar (Meguiars makes a kit I recommend you pick it up.)
Follow the directions. Then if you REALLY want your paint bright, get some Meguiars Polish, and polish the whole car like you wax it.
Waxing it afterward will protect and maintain all of the brightness and glossiness you just created. See my car below:

Crappy pic but you get the idea. That's the original paint.

take a plastic bag and after washing the car, put your hand in the plastic bag and run it over the paint, if it feels all [freak]ed up and bumpy. time to clay bar.. then after that, use a cleaner wax, then a sealer. and an optional glaze if you want... then in between waxes i use a spray detailer after washes.
oh yeah, about the spray detailer... i use meguairs quick detail in between washes too, but one of my freinds gives me mad sh*t about using it saying it will damage your paint and cause scratches. what do you think about that?
If youre using quick detailer on your car when it needs washing, yes it will marr the paint. To answer your initial quesiton, Meguiars Gold Class is a wax with pretty strong chemical cleaners, so while applying it twice won't increase the actually build of wax on the paint, your more than likely to get better coverage. Even better though, you should get rid of the Gold Class and step up to something better for around the same price, say, Meguiars #26.
i stopped by pep boys today and looked for some of that meguiar's #26 and couldn't find it. yeah, im getting tired of this gold class, i've been using the same stuff for years.
my car is white with a fresh coat of paint only 6 mo. old. i dont think its really possible to bring out the deep color of white because well, white is white, so i want something that'll make it look wet and glossy. meguairs #26 will do that for me? or should i look into something else?
