cooling fan problem
i have a 1990 honda civic hatchy. i wanted to kno y is my cooling fan not working. i put a ground wire on the motor of the cooling fan and it works. but wen i take the ground wire it dores it work. i dont want to put any add on wires to make my fan work. does any body have any help for me. do u think i need a new fan mortor?
if the motor comes on when you ground it, then there is nothing wrong with the motor - probably the cooling fan switch - it is located on the back of the block next to the oil filter - has a 2-wire connector with round black rubber boot - unplug the connector and connect the 2 wires together - turn on the ignition - if the fan comes on, then the switch is bad and needs replacing
