Default Need you guys' opinions on a purchase

There is a 1995 Accord EX sedan 5-speed that is 2 hours from me. KBB private party value is $2970 good condition, $3365 excellent condition. KBB retail in excellent condition is $4,760. The car has 160,000 miles. The guy selling it won't go any less than $3,500. I haven't seen any pics yet, but the seller seems to think the car is in excellent condition. Do you think it's worth $3,500? What do you think about the mileage? It has been kind of difficult to find a 5-speed sedan, but I don't want that to make me make a bad decision.

Thanks!

All you had to say was "a 5spd f23 EX."
we kinda got all the accessories from the EX part. And they dont make v6 w/5spd.

As for the purchase, you havnt seen ANY pictures. You have no idea about the condition its in. Ask if he can you pix, and if he has maintanance documents.

Other then that, I'm sure you can find a better price thats a lot closer, with fewer miles.

Good luck

Trust me, show up with your price in cash and he'll probably change his mind.

I paid 3500 for mine slightly modified with 170k sold off those parts so I really kinda only paid like 2800ish?

Yeah , that's only if it's 100% legit and you're trying for cheaper, I just paid asking price.

But if you show up , really for any part, with a certain amount of cash, they will most likely take it.

might hold off and try to find something better. My 97 SE was 2000 with 150k miles on it. Sense then i probably put in around close to 1000 , in 3 years so not to bad

That's the problem 5-speed 5th gen 4-doors aren't a dime a dozen. I've been looking for a while.
