Default 1999 Honda Civic shifter cable sticking

I have a 1999 Honda Civic and when I shift from Park to any other gear it is sticking and very hard to shift. I was told it was the shifter cable seizing. Wondering how difficult this is to change myself?

Thanks

The shift mechanism on your car is a linkage, not a cable

Not on an automatic tranny. I've never done it since I have a manual tranny but it looks pretty simple according to my Helms. If you have change your own oil, you can probably do this.
