Default car turns off with no cel codes.....help!!

I have a 91 crx converted to obd1. Its a fully built b16 with skunk2 pro 1 cams. Idle is a bit rough but i expected that since the cams are big. There are no cel codes. Im thinking is a vacuum line. Currently i have the brake booster, pcv, and the fuel pressure regulator vacuum lines connected. Am i suppose to T any of these vacuum lines. Is there anything else that can cause the car to turn off. Its running rich as hell.

could be MAP sensor, but you should get a code for it - i assume it is connected

could also be the fuel pressure regulator - that can make it run rich and there is no CEL for it

it idles for a while and then it turns off. If i rev it and let it go back down to idle it'll turn off.

could be a number of things. i just tackled that problem in my ef. check your TPS sensor voltage, with it fully closed should be 0.50V +- 0.02V. ALOT of people put on new throttle bodies but don't initialize the TPS.

my problem stemed from a bad IACV, but i had codes.

could also be a "semi open" wire in your OBD1 conversion. but it sounds more like its just having trouble keeping idle. you could also boost your idle, that might help.

is there a way to test if your iacv is bad or is not working properly.

i may be wrong, but i don't think the IACV would make it keep stalling. sounds like vacuum to me, maybe the throttle body or intake gasket. i had nuts loosen up on mine.
do you have new vacuum hoses? i have seen tears/holes that are almost invisible until you inspect closely. also possible the brake booster is leaking. did you run this motor before it was built up? how does it run when you rev it, before it shuts off?

base idle is set at around 500rpm on most hondas. that is set with the IACV unplugged. when its working correctly, it adds another 300rpm or so to reach its desired idle speed. if it is stuck closed, or the screen is plugged (my problem) then you just get the base 500rpm, and with big cams (i have skunk2 stg 2) it will absolutely not idle at that rpm.

in my expirience, vacuum leaks boost the idle and lead to idle surge. but every problem is unique.

for sure the motor needs to be tuned. This motor never ran in my car b4. i just finished building it and i put it in. i dont know if it could be a vacuum hose. I have read that the fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose has to be teed or bypassed. i have not done this. could this be the problem. i had a b20 in the car b4 and it would run good.

seems weird that you would have no fuel pressure but the car would still start... are you sure it's not just your fuel filter or something to that effect? did you listen to see if the pump prime?
