There is a guy in Vienna who say befor any mods to the engine the ITR had 185bhp and after a Mugen Headgasket and polishing the head, he has 210bhp.
On the other side he has done, what I talked a few days ago.

as power is created from a mixture of fuel and air - you can't create twenty five
more horsepower by simply improving airflow - especially on a motor that makes about 100 hp/L. A Mugen headgasket makes about .3 compression difference and he hasn't changed any of the fuel parameters from what you have said.
Complete and utter bull.

Actually, increasing air flow in theory should improve horse power due to air traveling faster and more being able to enter the chamber during each cycle. Kinda like a really week turbo. Not sure about 15hp, but it should be good for a few.
If he's installing a Mugen head gasket, he's looking into raising compression. For the little it can do, I don't think it will make that kind of gain.
When you mention "polishing the head" in a head gasket related statement, I'm thinking about polishing the head plane to create a better sealing against the head gasket. It doesn't do anything about performance gains. If the polishing thing is in the head chamber, he's looking to smooth the airflow, which doesn't make that much power either.
Veredict:
BS.
Edit: BTW, 210 - 185 = 25! he he.

So how are thouse BC's working out for ya?
Craig, just yanking your chain too ... seen the cover of this month's Penthouse Letters? LOL!!
I'm still waiting for those 14K rear springs before I bother bolting them up.
Also waiting on that Imoto TVS hood I ordered in March, and haven't installed the Mugen wing I bought from N1-R a month or so ago.
Can't wait (have waited too long, actually) to change the engine oil/filter and tranny fluid.
Especially after all these blown engine stories lately.
Should be near 115K miles in a few days.
PB -- what's wrong w/sw3d?

are u talking about milling the head? usually when people want a bit more compresion with out doing pistons they go for milling the head thinner gasket.
