Some quicky steering and suspension questions
Hey there! I just bought some eibach springs, pro kit. I'm planning to use the stock shocks as they are still good. Performs like a new shocks. Don't say anything else about this. Let's stick to the subject.
Anyways I noticed that my Lower ball joint are kinda ripped, well cracked. So Since i have the springs out and stuff, I'll just take this opportunity to change them. Can I use this guide to help me change it? http://www.nb-performance.com/....html I searched and found this. Is it the same process for the Accord???
Since I'm using the stock shocks, what do i need to change? Like I noticed the repair manual said something about replacing some wear items. How about the self-locking nut on top? Can anyone refer me on changing springs. or shocks....?
Thanks!

yep, looks like it's the same.
One thing though, you should be able to use the ball joint press to press the old one out instead of having to pound it out with a hammer.
for changing the springs, take a look in the FAQ. I believe there is a thread in there for the 6th gen, not exactly the same but it will give you a good idea of whats involved.

Oh wow i missed that part. lol whoops. So usually when replacing springs, or shocks, you can just reuse the old parts and hardware? Is that ok?
Thanks guys!

they say you should replace the axle nut and self-locking nuts (which for this would include the nut that attaches to the bolt on the fork/lower control arm and the nut that is on top of the strut).
I know a lot of people don't always replace these items so it's your call.
Not sure about the lower ball joints from eBay as I've never looked. Look at the brand they are selling and then research them to see if they are good or not. Wouldn't want one of those failing on you while you're driving.
