Default ecu exchange

have a F20A si motor with h23 tranny still using the f22a1 ecu would be better or make much or a different if I use a h22 or h23 ecu let me know hondaholics

If that F20A is:
non-VTEC and has a single intake runner the F22A1 ECU should be okay.
non-VTEC and has dual intake runners you may want an F22A6 ECU.
VTEC and has a single intake runner, you'll want a SOHC VTEC Civic ECU (P28).
VTEC and has dual intake runners, you'll want a GSR ECU (P72).
Of course ideally you'd have an F20A ECU!

Of course, in their stock form, any of these ECUs probably won't have the right fuel/ignition maps and rev limit (and VTEC and intake runner solenoid crossovers if applicable) for your motor. I suspect the F20A motor may have a higher rev limit than your F22A1 ECU.
