Chassis :95 EX Civic Coupe
Motor: 95 GSR Motor(93,000) Miles and it has been swapped for 5 months .
Problem:I went to the track to race. Everything in the car was inspected such as my oil level, axles, tires and brakes and what not. Anyways Im lined up ready to race .(Did not burn out in the water pit) I staged and 2 stepped my car like normal. I launch off the line and I go about throwing 2nd at about 8,400 RPMS 2nd goes in no grind everything still normal go to throw third when my Shift light came on (8,400) throw 3rd (kinda grinded )all the sudden a I heard a weird noise not like a rod knock but if like something came loose. SO im like **** axle came off nobiggie. I turned off the car as soon as I heard the noise and threw it in neutral. I saw no oil light so I was relieved. I finally stop and roll off to the side. I got pulled it back to where my group of friend were. I jack up the car and see both axle are in fine. SO i lower the car put it in neutral when I attempted to start the car the whole motor moved forward but the starter didnt turn the flywheel. I attemped to take a lug spinner to the crankshaft and it wouldnt budge.
Question: Did my motor lock up or did my tranny just lock or something? I checked oil level and it was still good. Motor has Skunk 2 Valvetrain *Springs,Valves ,Retainers* Rev Limiter on the car is 8,600. So thats why Im confused I dont know if my transmissionl ock up or what. The Car will move in neutral. I tryed push starting the car by myself and pop he clutch and all i got was a skid mark and a E-Brake motion to my motor. Do I open the head or remove the tranny?

drain the oil. look for metal shavings.
When you push in the clutch, you disconnect the trans. Unless something is wrong with the clutch AND the trans, the engine is on it's own at that point.
If you can't spin the engine with a wrench via the crank bolt while the clutch is pushed in (and the clutch's hydraulic system works well), it's most likely a seized engine.
I have no idea why the hell that would happen if you had oil in it and everything...but why did you shut the car off completely? How did you get back to the pits?

How did you get it back to the pits? The straight water is a bad idea, btw. But it probably didn't have anything to do with your engine not turning over.

Thanks for all your input guys. I went ahead and drained the oil. Interesting what came out first was antifreeze a good portion of it too and then oil right after ..Didn't see any metal shaving if at that. So with this being said what can be done? Should I open the motor from the top or from the bottom?
You may have cracked a sleeve or just had a massive HG leak, letting coolant into the cylinder. Hydrolock is what they call it when water prevents any further piston compression/movement.
If you say trying to start it and it moves the car, chances are the motor is fine but the clutch won't disengauge. It happens where the clutch fork will break in the middle, effectively locking the clutch. If it was in neutral and it moved the car, it could be a broken shift fork - the lever moves freely, but it always stays in gear.

take out the spark plugs and crank it. See what happens.
You never answered my question: How did you get back to the pits?

i got towed to the pits. Anywyas New UPDATE: I took out all spark plugs and plug 3 was hard to remove so as I continued I got to notice that plug 3 was half melted. A least a a quart of the bottom was melted. Today I started removing the head it is about 90% off . there were metal shavings in the exhaust ports of only piston 3 . Does this mean my other pistons are safe.? Either way
Im gona rebuild it so I might as well get a skunk 2 mani.
