Default Newer injectors with non-OBD Ecu.... Will it work?

I am going to be installing a D16Y8 longblock in my 89 DX hatch pretty soon, just looking for a good deal right now. I was wondering if it would be possible to use the injectors that come with it (OBDII) as long as I use an injector resistor box? I plan on using either an 88-89 Integra ecu or 88-91 Civic/CRX Si ecu. I don't see why it wouldn't work since the resistor box would give them the values they need.

nope...wont work..OBD1 and OBD2 cars use saturation style injectors where the 88-91s use peak/hold... just pick up some si or hf or 90-91 injectors...they're all the same..

you can run either obd1 or obd2 injectors. all you have to do is remove the resistor box and then get the proper injector clips. non obd, obd1, and obd2 all have different injector clips.

But is just so much easier to use the stock injectors. Rather than replacing or modifying the clips and such.

IMO

I don't have any injector clips to begin with since the car is a DX with dpfi, so I would need to get some clips anyway. The motor is coming to me with the harness so the clips will be there from the OBDII injectors. I want it to run properly so I figure the best way would be to use the non-OBD injectors. The only thing is since the longblock is coming with the D16Y8 injectors, I would like to use them if possible.

u can use any OBDI and OBDII inyectors on a OBDO ECU as long as u use them tru an injector resistor.... i even seen talon TSI inyectors on civics.... i am using OBDI injectors with a 88 ECU tru an injector resistor and they run just fine..... beleive me they DO work!

I have 94 si injectors on my motor with a resistor box and pm6 computer. works great. i've driven it all over the country like that. no problems yet. over 15,000 miles on it so far.
