i got a gsr swap with no cat too but i have a apexi n1 on it.....i've heard that racing medallions are not as loud as n1's but im not sure. its not THAT loud although i've gotten 1 ticket for loud exhaust. its quiet inside, but pretty damn loud if u are standing outside.....
I use to have one on my Integra. I loved the noise back then but age made me mellow out.
They gave you a loud exhaust ticket in TX?? I guess I was lucky when I had mine.

I got a Tanabe RM on my civic si, it is loud. I suggest since you got the full catback, put the silencer on it and tighten the bolt on it. If you dont tighten the bolt on the silencer i guarantee the exhaust will rattle the bolt off and the silenecer will fly out when you are driving.... i know this from experiance.. i had to run back a couple of blocks on a 1 way street to get it back
Put the silencer on and you will be fine. I have a full cat back Tanabe Racing medallion. A cop made me rev the **** out of my motor when he pulled me over for a no front plate ticket and he was surprised on how quiet my exhaust was. Got a front plate ticket, but no exhaust ticket.

my RM is pretty quiet as far as exhausts go. But it sounds GREAT!! Nice deep and aggressive tone. I've had nothing but problems with the quality of the workmanship though. I've had 3 welds break on me so far. And i don't mean just cracking a little. The entire weld is breaking all the way around the pipe. I was stuck on the side of the road for an hour and a half until a buddy could get to me with some tools to get the exhaust off. But my cat is welded to my header, so the joint with the spring bolts is gone. That might be causin all my problems. Great sounding exhaust, but if you notice any exhaust leak sounds, get them fixed IMMEDIATELY.
You bought a Tanabe RM and thought it would be quiet?? It's an N1 style system with minimal bends, and look at the canister.. Get a high flow cat and it will quiet down a bit and shouldn't lose any power. Silencer DEFEAT the whole purpose of the exhaust..
yeah, the same thing happened to me... but i wasn't so lucky in getting it back. it took me forever to find a replacement. luckily, one of the homies was selling a genaric muffler with a silencer in it, so he hooked me up with the silencer and it fit perfectly into the tanabe rm...
