I have a delsol 1992 dohc. When I enter into vtec I it does kick in but I get this horrible high metallic sound. Any ideas what this is would be a big help, the engine check light is coming on, the code appears to be cel 1 - Oxygen sensor #1. Would this cause the sound?

is ur oil low? vtec needs oil.

 

no oil is fine, is changed it with fresh this week and still doing it.

Any other suggestions?

Can you verify the CEL? My friends car "appears" to be a beater but in reality he's got a built engine under the hood making his car a sleeper. We would need a little more history to properly diagnose.

 

It appears to be a single short flash repeating. Which is oxygen sensor, would this cause the problem?
