I use illuminas with ground control coilovers and i love it. Ride is firm and never bouncy.
Car handles like its on rails too
I have had this setup for nearly two years with 0 issues.

i have KYB AGX's on my car and they were a nice ride, but not as agressive as i though so im getting some Functions lol.

There are some rather significant differences between the two shown in the dyno curves, so "there is no difference" is a misleading and false statement.
Neither damper is "5-way adjustable," and I've never even seen such a thing.
Both are 1-way adjustable (full range compression and rebound simultaneously). In addition, some AGX models have 8 settings for the adjuster rather than 4 - but number of settings is often irrelevant in the grand scheme of things, because adjusters for low-end dampers are rather unreliable and often times changing settings won't actually change the damping curves at all.

Then you'll only ever have a tiny sampling of the scores of different dampers available out there. While Koni is generally great, it's not the only worthwhile brand out there.

I had both shocks before. I had the Tokikos in my 92 EG and the KYB on my 00 SI and they both worked great. But if I had to go with one I would have to say Tokiko... I personally liked the ride better but then again it could have been the difference in ride of both cars. The SI weights over 1,000 pounds more than the EG. A good place for install if you want real dial in numbers will be West End Alignment in Gardena. Darin works on my S2K and he's the best out there!

Erroneous.
Erroneous.
Comes down to budget, and what you ultimately what you want the car to do...
If you look at dynos of both, the iluminnas have a more "effective" adjustment range compared to the agx,
but the agx is much more linear...
now my personal benchmark for comparing the graphs, was the PIC graph... because of the reviews of PIC coil-overs here on ht...
People said that the PIC coil-overs made the car more predictable, and just easier to drive, the PIC select dampers are very linear.
Cause of this, i'm leaning towards the agx's - and they fit my budget better... I'd rather have a predictable car, than a comfortable ride...
If I had 1200 to spend on coil-overs, i would go with PIC selects, but I don't have that kind of money.
