Default TPS help... I searched

Ok I have the 92-95 ZC VTEC swap in my 88 hatch. I am not throwing a TPS code but when I am at wide open throttle the motor bogs very badly. I switched the wires around on the TPS and then it started to bog at about quarter throttle. When I put a meter on it at idle its sits at .5 exactly and at wide open it sits at 5.68. I can not figure out what the problem is. The TPS is brand new.

The TPS should have approximately" 0.5 V at full closed throttle, and 4 V at full open throttle, there should be a smooth transition as the throttle is depressed" from the helm manual.

since your messed with it you should fix the wiring first.

The TPS might not be your problem.
check your timing, spark plugs and wires, cap and rotor ect.
Maybe replace the fuel filter.

You might have a vacuum leak or a FITV or IACV problem.
Is your throttle cable too tight, does the throttle body close all the way?

A bent throttle blade will do this too. happened to me.

As for the TPS thing I had the same problem and I had to swap two wires in my driver's side shock tower harness plug. I can't remember what they were, but I'll try and think of it and get back to you guys. I had to drive for like 8 hours with my car doing that **** on the freeway!! Good times!
