Default new Espelir cat-back..LOUD! but will it tame down after some time?

I just installed a Espelir JGT500R exhaust on my 98 Prelude today. It turn out to be louder than I expected from watching/listening to sound clips of the exhaust on Preludes and RSX. It has a deep tone but first and second gear, my wife can feel the house shakes lol This is without the silencer.

I wonder after a week or so will it quiet down a notch or two or will it remain the same?

Post up a pic or video of it. I haven't seen an Espelir exhaust on a BB6.

I have never had an exhaust get quieter with time, unless the cat plugs up, they usually only get louder as some of the sound deadening burns off, so putting the silencer in may be a good plan of attack.

When I bought my Thermal Classic (brand new), it was pretty loud for a week or two. It got quieter as time passed.

The first time I put it on, the interior would rattle. I was worried like you are.

It doesn't get quieter, I know cause I have one. You just have to get used to it.

get a resonator put on, but that can only help so much. ur car needs a lipkit and some lowering. maybe lowering it will help w/ the noise and the lipkit might serve as a damper to close in the noise a bit too! both good arguments to bring up to the wifey.

it has a resonator but it's puny...i don't wanna modify the pipe, keep it as it is. Keep it original. I guess I'm getting used to it. The only thing is will my wife? lol...we'll see, might want to sell it after awhile..
