Default Another Swap Question...

Okay, here's the background story...
I spun a bearing in my motor a couple weeks ago, so today my friend and I finally got around to swapping the engine. I took the car to his garage on Thursday, and before we pulled it, I decided the motor was junk, so I beat on it until I threw a rod. Whatever, hate all you want, it's what i felt like doing.
So anyway, today, the swap is done. The car won't start. The grounds were checked a million times and it's cranking, but it's not getting fuel. Somehow now, the fuel pump relay box inside of the glove box is making a 'clicking' sound, and the fuel pump isn't getting to prime. I swapped out the relay with the one out of my friend's car, and it still made the clicking sound, only a little quieter. There were no fuel issues of any sort prior to pulling the engine, so what possibilities could be causing this? Fuses have been checked, I feel like everything has been checked, but I'm sure I've missed stuff. Thanks for any help

Oh yea, it's a d16y8 in a 97 hatch

well, the crank sensor was messed with just to see if wires were loose. But if that was bad, there should still be fuel to the injectors. That didn't change anything though. The ecu was disconnected and left to clear, that didn't change anything. Then I pulled the fuel pump, but there are two connectors so I don't now how to apply power to try to test it.

Bumping every like 30 min like you did when you first posted isn't gonna net you help any faster.

You need more details, What do you mean "it won't start"

Will it turn over? Does it sputter and die? or when you turn the key it doesn't even try to turn over?

Are you sure the motor you put INTO your car is good, did you compression test it before buying it, what ECU are you using, is your battery fully charged (don't say its 'fine' sometimes when they sit for awhile they don't have enough kick to get a car going, **** happens) You need to give us more to go on than "it won't start, and I think its getting fuel" Brake the fuel line loose at the rail, when you prime it, does it spray fuel? *test this with a coffee can or something under the line so you don't spray gas everywhere.* Are the plugs/wires original or new? is the cap and rotor new or original, 'help me, help you'

Well, I bumped it 30 minutes later because it had already fallen off of the 1st page, so I was just trying to get it back to the top so that people can check it out.

I said that it does crank, so it is turning over. I did mention that it isn't getting fuel though. The inlet line on the fuel filter was disconnected and was dry. It wasn't feeding anything.

I did make a typo when looking back over my post and I said that the pump was priming, when I actually meant to say that it wasn't priming, so I fixed that now.

I want to try to hook the pump up to the battery and see if it will prime then, but there are two connectors and I don't know which wire to run to the battery.

If you need more info, let me know. It's definetly a fuel problem at this point, as stated earlier. But it's all good. Helps always appreciated.

Stupid question, are you using the intake manifold off the Y8 or still using the one off the Y7?

Y7's use 190CC injectors, not 240's (not that it would stop fuel getting to the RAIL, but just on a side note)

You also still haven't answered my question as to "What ECU are you using" which is fairly important to a car running...

sorry, I missed that question.
I had a d16z6 in the car, so I transferred that intake manifold over to the y8. The z6 already had the y8 injectors, so they are good.
I am using a variety of ecu's at this point haha. I had a p28 in the car originally when all of this went down. Well, I tried a p2p in it, and then the relay stops making the noise, but the fuel pump still didn't prime. The fuel pump is good though, tested, it primes. So I guess somehow the connection between the relay and the fuel pump went bad.
