Default B18A1 bogging at low rpm

soft on the gas pedal in first or not in gear, the rpms drop and car trys to stall, you can hear the intake almost choke itself out. if i stomp the pedal theres no problem and when im moving its only in first gear, all others are fine. maybe old gas? i bought it from someone that had it sitting, i would guess mostly all winter (had a bad head gasket) i replaced it all, got the head milled, engine and coolant system flush and theres still gray smoke coming out of the exhaust, it smells really rich, any help? thanks

1. Check to make sure your cam gears/crank is all lined up at top dead center.
2. Check your codes if you have any & resolve them.
3. Make sure you did not mix up your intake air temperature sensor plug with another plug causing you to damage your iat sensor etc..

yea i had a feeling it was my timing cuz you can smell how rich its running, its just i'd rather not have to mess around with that AGAIN lol but i guess ill tear it down and double check. i took my plugs out and all 4 are brand new, like 3 miles on them tops and they're jet black.

Hmmmm...
Your engine may be running slightly rich. What are you using to tune?

Give us more information on the vehicle.
I.e. injector size, motor setup

Your original post made it sound like you had a stock motor setup etc.
