timing only at 14 deg.?

Default timing only at 14 deg.?

well ive had a fuel problem as some of you might have read in my other thread
but i went to set the timming today and with the dizzy advanced all the way its only at 14 deg what should i do or how can i fix this to get it to 16 deg
someone please help

WHen i did mine, i had it advance all the way and it was only hitting 16* so it wasnt a big deal, but i slotted the distributor in case i ever had to advance it more in the future.

it looked like it was spot on when it was at tdc the timing marks on the cam gear were where they needed to be but i didnt check the crank
any other ideas?

have the timing belt re-installed. this happend to me also and we just reinstalled the tbel.

you could reslot the dizzy by makin the holes longer for the dizzy to move further but i wouldnt suggest it.

well ill reinstall the tbelt and see if that helps guess i need to go buy a haynes for my car or if some one could show me a pic of where to line up the crank i know how to line up the cam gear cause its exactly the same as my em2
