Default what cage to get??? EG hatch

Ok so im in BFE Indiana. no major fabricators for race cars around here. no one is will to attempt to make a roll cage for my weekend warrior. Aiming for High- mid 10's this year. so i was just going to get a full 10 point cage. but now im stuck to buying a pre fabbed kit since i do not have the time or funds to take the car to detroit/chicago/indy.
i have a guy thats done lot of mustang cages but he doesnt want to make one for me since he said it would take to long to make one to fit. But if i got a kit or something then he will trim/notch it to best fit and weld it in.

So now my dilemma what is a good starter kit. i was looking at Kens Custom. then i seen the S&W kits. what are my other options. i need it to pass NHRA and IHRA looking to get a 10 point so i have room to grow. Dont need a Chute yet. sorry if this sounds like gibberish lil tired. TIA

Where do you live at in Indiana?? I had my cage and most of my Fab work done at MR2 Performance in Lebanon. With that being said, I have heard good things about the Kens kit. I think you would be much happier with the fitment of a custom cage though.

Well what times are you running now? Why dont you wait to get a cage until you hit the times where you need one? But if you do choose to get one now, I dont think I a 10-point cage is necessary for the time your looking at running. A 6 or 8 point is plenty. If you are able to make the trip, theres a great place in Plainfield, IL called Fast Forward Welding who does absolutely sick work. The guys name is Aaron...

I guarentee there will be a pretty long wait though.

Mine started life as a S&W rollbar, and has been custom fitted then converted to a cage. The main hoop fitment was good, but thats about it. The rest of it had to be modified quite a bit for comfort.

I live in Elkhart, but I'm originally from Toledo, and I would agree there is no one out here. My friends shop back in Toledo did mine in my 90 Integra. The shop is called Accellerated Performace.
