big thanx to Dillan Chassis for the work. and i highly recommend him for work here in SOCAL

dropping the car off at the shop


main hoop in










working the step plate for the main hoop




bending the front half hoops


main hoop is tucked away nice and tight




top half






D bars


rear legs


door bars


harness tas and seat brace

How does he gett a good bead on the front tubes were they attach too the main hoop?

Or is it not that tight of a fit

its a snug fit but theres room to get the bead wrapped around

so you just drill into the fiberglss shell??

You are using exhaust tubing for your roll cage? What sanctioning body allows that? That's a poor way or doing the belt tabs. They should be loaded in tension.

no it isnt exhaust tubing it is i believe .120 wall tickness or whatever the min is for mild stell and will be NHRA certified.
whats wrong with the tabs?

It may be .120" wall but it is still ERW tubing. If it's allowed in your specs then you are OK. I would just never use it. Roll cages should be DOM or C Moly.

Depending on how the belts would load the tabs in an accident it looks like there would be some bending about the weld.

Thats hot. why not a sr. ca's are not exactly powerplants + hella hard to find good aftermaket parts.

cant go wrong with a "BABY RB"
parts arent that hard but arent easy like SR's....

the CA is a cast Iron block and about 50lbs lighter then the SR......
