i was on nwp4life.com and there was a guy from the Netherlands with a bunch of show pictures from japfest 2008. The bumper looks like a regular 90-91 US bumper, but it has the groove like 88-89, or ef9. is it a european thing only? or is it also a jdm bumper just not ef9? i havent seen it before, and tried searching, but i am kinda slow.

 

I think its a USDM (Or whatever the hell I have) with a custom grille?

Let me be the first to say this car looks [freak]ing SICK!!

It looks like a 90-91 spec bumper with 88-89 front bumper moldings. I can't think of anything else it could be.

 

i think that is the jdm 4 door bumper

I just looked into it. It's not because the holes for the license plate is in the grill, not on the grooze.

its about the moulding how it has a groove in it, like 88-89 or ef9 mouldings do.
it looks exactly like a 90-91, just ef9 groove.

The headlights look smaller for some reason. Doesn't line up with the corner lights. ZC headlights probably?

 

...I'm surprised nobody got this. It's a 90-91 EDM bumper. They sometimes pop up on E-bay. Those are also EDM glass headlights.

that is what i thought, but i couldnt find any more info on it. any time you type in edm ef civic bumper, or anything like that, it pops up with the sir bumper. well, i guess case closed! hah

Confirmed, its a EDM 90-91 bumper from the 16i16 (Dohc ZC). I see tons of those here in Portugal.

 

This is how the 91 bumpers should have been.

Ill have to take a pic of my bumper on my '90 hatch tomorrow cause i dont see a difference at all. I dont know maybe im just not noticing it.

 

What kind of corner lights are those? There siick. I always wanted a stained or smoked amber, but this looks like j-spec eg corners. i dont mean the way there shaped, how there clear on the outside and amber on the inside.

Anywho, look at everyones license plates, there in Europe somewhere. So yea, love that style, EF9 = played out!

Are you refering to the right side corner light? I believe thats a reflection from the orange car next to it.

But you could prabably get it to look that way with just orange bulbs
