clutch problem!!!
i have a 90 accord and my clutch just wont bleed enough for a pedal. i've replaced the clutch master and slave but same prob. once i had alittle pedal but not enough to put the car into gear while running. had a leak on the round piece mounted to the pass. strut tower but i've bypassed that piece. do i need it? but i have no leaks now. i tried pressur bleeding it with a radiator tester but same results. any ideas?
I would try adjusting the pedal, checking and rechecking for leaks.
You can adjust the pedal by spinning the small metal bar, from the master cylinder to the pedal, just experiment and see if it gets better

fill a cup full of brake fluid, loosen the bleeder screw on the slave cylinder and run a small piece of hose from the bleeder down into the cup of brake fluid then pump it up until you get your pedal feel back.make sure you keep the reservoir full while doing so.
Can I ask is this solution worked?
I have a similar but more vexing issue. By the way I should state I'm new to the forum. I had the clutch pedal on my '97 Accord go soft. I have a very trustworthy mechanic who has never failed me before, and has really tried his best here, but the problem seems to keep recurring. Here's what's been done:
Replaced the master and slave cylinders - worked for 2 weeks then pedal went soft again. (By soft I mean that the clutch won't entirely disengage. I'n guessing there's not enough hyraulic pressure to totally disengage the clutch so that when the pedal's all the way down, the clutch is only half engaged/disengaged)
Replaced the slave again - worked for 10 days then pedal went soft again.
Replaced the master again - worked for a few days, car sat for 2 weeks on vacation and upon retun pedal was really soft.
Cleaned the line between master and slave - worked for a few days and went soft - but this time if I pumpwed the pedal repeatedly, pressure would build back up. This worked for a few weeks then the pedal went soft and pumping wouldn't help, then it went totoally dead - no presure at all.
Replaced the clutch connector - my mechanic told me that in 20 years as a Honda tech he's only seen the connector go bad twice. It took him over a week to locate the part. Worked for a week and then went soft again.
Adjusted the master - worked for a few days and now it's soft again.
I called a Honda dealer - I'm thinking of taking it to a dealer, but I'm worried they'll just charge me a lot more and not really get to the root of the problem.
Also, there's never been any noticeable leaking of fluid. The reservoir is always full and the fluid in the reservoir is clean. I've never noticed any fluid leaking anywhere else either (except from the master cylinder the first time it was replaced).
Any ideas from anyone - did the solution about "priming" the system mentioned work?
