Sell better stock or slightly modded?
im lookin for your guys opinion on this
iv got an itr im lookin to sell soon
thing is its got a jdm hid front end, and a few little things done to it
do you guys think it will sell faster/easier/for more, bone stock, pretty much a lhd jdm itr, jdm front, recaros, rims, etc etc, stock susp and brakes etc
or if it had a few little mods, like now its got spoon mirrors, a spoon n1, regamasters, a few little things
im thinking people whould want it stock, like a jdm itr
and it whould sell better that way
iv tried to sell it before, and i always backed down, i kinda toyed with idea cuz iv had it for so long, goin on 6 years, but i whould always drive it again and fall in love again
but now iv happened across and insane deal on a house, and i cant pass this up, so its time to sell the R, it whould be a huge help to have the cash in the bank
as soon as i get moved in ill be buyin another R, nhbp this time, like i wanted the first time around
thanks for any input an opinions

if the mods are pretty standard...... and standard i mean mods that buyers can go on different directions like jdm front, recaro, and maybe a reg intake then is fine.
but if you have a killer header, irregular exhaust, a system, ecu, suspension, etc. i would part out and i would sell it with only standard modsl

Already killed a good bit of value, IMO.
At this point, seven years after the last new ITR's, your money is in bone stock cars.

Personally I think this is a very hard question to answer.....
I would much rather buy a stock un molested R....
but, molesting one and putting it back to stock, is like becoming a
'born again virgin".... there is no such thing....
I have been very lucky in purchasing 2 of my ITR's.... the first was a completely stock 98 where no bolt had been broken loose(until I got it), and the 2nd was the current 97 I am driving( same scenerio)..
my 00 was owned by a friend of mine, and I knew the whole history of the car and what mods had been done.....
As we all would love to buy a stock ITR, there are fewer and fewer out there that have not been modded in some way......
I think that you should be upfront as the seller as to what has been done to the car, before and after it was put back to stock, as not to mislead someone that nothing has ever been done to the car, and they would be the first to de-virginize it....
just my .02
in short, dont try to pass the car off as a stock Virgin ITR......

yeah definitly i whould never lie to anybody about the car
plus its never really had much done to it in the first place, it had a aem cold air, and spoon n1 rear section, and it was lowered, thats all thats ever really been done to it
plus if a potentail buyer wanted to know its history they could just do a search under my user name, iv always been up front about my car
plus when its ready to be sold it will be pretty much new lol, freshly oem rebuilt motor, new trans, etc new floormats new carpet, almost new jdm itr recaros, new tires, still tryin to find some jdm itr wheels

stock because modded means beat on. ive tried to sell my car a couple times and the buyer was weary because my car was modded. but then again i ended up in your situation and drove it and fell in love again. atleast if you sell it stock you can part out the parts you already put into it and get a little bit more.
