hi guys, was hoping someone could put in a few suggestions as to where i should look next. i put a 98spec itr srs steering wheel in place of my 97 acura srs wheel. the current problem is that i cannot rid the srs light which probably disables the airbag. this defeats the purpose of my intentions in getting this wheel... does the problem lie within my car being obd1? the horn is all plugged in correctly and it worked for about a week, now it is not functioning. like i said connections are good and the fuse under the hood is fine. is there something else that i could consider?

 

well I don't know what causes the SRS light to come on, but look at my write up. If you do everything how I wrote it, the light won't come on.

!!!! thankyou for the helpful wrteup i just found it searching. i know its not worth the risk of exploding the bag up in my grillz but... couldnt help but think of what would happen if i spliced my original wheel srs plug into the momo

 

Have you tried to reset the SRS light, and see if it would come back on?

 

it has come back on after reseting but now i know i have to swap airbag plugs from my original wheel.
i took a good look at it and still can't determine how the wplug can be removed? do i splice the thing off completely?

You can't repin, you will need to cut then splice
