Are EK coupe and hatch lock cylinders interchangable?
I need to replace my trunk lock cylinder for my EK hatch located on the rear license plate garnish.
Are hatch and coupe lock cylinders the same on the trunk?
No results when I searched, thanks.

If you're talking about the cylinder shaped piece that you can purchase at an autoparts store, the part that you have to remove out of the rest of the lock assembly... maybe.
If you mean the assembly from Honda, the coupe and sedan appear to be the same, but not the hatch.

Just to clear things up some more, I've included pictures. The lock cylinder in question has been circled in RED.
A view from the outside of the car:

The only question I have:
Is this piece interchangable with an EK coupe?

No worries, I appreciate the help. I'm gonna go check out my buddies coupe right now. Will post findings. The part numbers aren't the same from HondaAutomotiveParts.com, but I can't find any differences in appearance.
Well, here are my discoveries after removing my hatch lock cylinder, and my friends coupe lock cylinder.
They are SOMEWHAT interchangable, but not 100%.
Reasons:
- They fit EXACTLY the same. Same bolt spot, and both hook up to the lock rod.
- The hatch lock can rotate in TWO directions, one way is to "lock," and the second way is to "unlock." This is evident by seeing the hatch lock with the red tape move up and down when you move the key clockwise and counterclockwise.
- The coupe lock can only rotate in ONE direction, which is to unlock. The trunk unlocks/pops automatically when you twist the key, and relocks by itself when the trunk is closed.
If the hatch lock is put into the coupe, it will work fine.
If the coupe lock is put into the hatch, you can only lock the hatch manually on the inside and not with a key from the outside.
Oh well.
