i recently started to feel that my car vibrates during low rpms. At higher rpms, its not that noticable. I looked in the engine bay to find that my crank pulley seems to be wobbly (cant spell ). Should i just try to tighten it becuase its loser? Or can someone tell me whats wrong?

 

its possible that it is coming loose or the pulley has worn out. doesn't hurt to get in there and check.

 

should i try tightening that nut at first?

 

when you say wobbly.. is it like it's not tighten all the way because those things are on there with teeth so if it was loose i would think that it can only slide side to side. there's a pin that you should check for in there. that might have caused the problem.

 

i had the same issue , my crank pulley kept getting loose , come to find out that the previous owner messed up the threads. I just cleaned the treads as good as i could and i bought a brand new bolt , and a new crank pulley,(because mine worn out because of it being loose) . o ya ls crank pulley works ok to .
