Default 2.5 vs. 2.25?

I'm going to be redoing my exhaust pretty soon and I have a few questions.
I have a basically stock GSR motor. Right now, only mod is a Skunk2 IM..and crappy exhaust.

I have an idea of what I want..

JDM ITR header - Carsound cat - 2.5 or 2.25 piping (no resonator) - canister muffler.

My question is, would it make sense to go to 2.5" piping on a relatively stock motor?

Tia

Actually, I fixed that already..but I added a resonator at the same time.

Oh my gosh...sooooo much slower. So yeah, I'm not liking that idea anymore

It's not slower, your brain doesn't hear the loudness so you think it's slower.

Talk to you tomorrow :D

if your jsut gonna do the basic bolt-ons, 2.25" is fine.
if your gonna go with cams/high comp, 2.5"!

I disagree...go with 2.5 all the way. The power is great.

Go 2.5 so it matches your collector size

It's slower, it takes me like twenty minutes to get through 2nd gear...

For now, my plans consist of JDM ITR pistons, CTR/ITR cams (sometime in the future)

exhaust... very nice
totally unplugged the stock civic exhaust restriction...

2.25 is fine...2.5 is unecessary
