Default need someone who knows! 00 d16y8 engine into a 96 hatch?

When i do the 2000 d16y8 swap into my 96 civic hatch. would i have to get a ob2a jumper for it? or will it plug and play? someone told me that when swaping the d16y8 into my hatch. they run different obd generations and some things may not work cooperatley. cause my hatch is a obd2a while the engine is a obd2b? so will it run alright?really need some advices. asap. and will the wire diagram be the same?

just rewire with your obd2a harness and add vtec to it then you should be good
you'll still need a jumper harness for the obd2b ecu or find a obd2a ecu, they are cheap fyi

you must rewire your obd harness, since its a non vtec, u have to rewire the IACV, and use an ex ecu. (obd2 ecu), wire vtec,
