i look around and see these redline time attack events and they look like a ton of fun but all there events are west coast or midwest

am i dumb and didnt see them and they do do events on the east coast

or is there another compant that does events like this on the east coast

iv always wanted to kinda get into racing and such, but i dont have the time to really compete in a series where i whould HAVE to goto all the races

id like somthing where i could go an race on days that i can make it to
either be it time attack or wheel to wheel with other cars

i admit im a bit of a newb when it comes to organized racing events, i went to the Type r expo 3 years ago with my R, unfortunitly i didnt race but i still had an amazing time and ever since iv always wanted to get onto a track, i know you guys dont usually agree but iv got some really nice backrounds close to my house i drive on all the time, nothing dangerous, just to have some fun

anyway any info whould be great

 

Check out http://www.trackschedule.com . A lot of events on the east coast. Most events are HPDE events and not wheel to wheel racing. It sounds like HPDE is what you are looking for at this time.

 

I'm not sure where you are located, but we have Redline Time Attack events at VIR and at Summit Point this year. We also have one in Nashville.

All three of the events have HPDE elements to them, so if you are just getting started, you can come out and we'll set you up with an instructor to get you up to speed safely in a comfortable environment.

"Time Attack" is what the cool kids call it. The real name is Time Trial or TT. There are plenty of them on the East Coast. Both NASA and EMRA have Time Trial programs. There are other clubs that hold them but I've never run with them.

EMRA is running a Time Trial tomorrow at Summit Point on the Shenand'oh!ah circuit. We were planning on heading down however the new car is not ready yet.
