Default Question about my AFR's

Ok.. here's the scoop.

I'm running a D16z6 on 15 PSI (off the wastegate) My guage might be broken with those numbers tho. I need to troubleshoot the guage with another one and see the difference..

I just installed my AEM Uego wideband today. Now.. I have a complete stock fuel system. From the pump to the injectors. I do how ever have a chipped ECU..

Now when the car is idling.. My AFR is 14.5. Just crusing the Highway at like 80 mph turning around 3300 RPM my AFR is 13.4-13.8. At WOT it doesn't go below 11.5.

I am very confused. I should be running at like 10.0 or lower on my setup. Can anyone justify this?`

Actually, your AFR numbers aren't bad, but how you are running 15 PSI on stock injectors and are getting that number even close to 11.5AFR is beyond me. I would think that you would have maxxed them out long before 15 PSI was hit. I would imagine with any higher RPM's than you got your 11.5AFR at 15PSI, that you would start leaning out bad and cause exciting underhood noises - for a short period of time. Any Dyno numbers on WHP? And is your info from datalogging, or just looking at the gauge? (Please tell me datalogging, and if not, stop driving your car before mayhem ensues).

Well.. Like I said I think that my boost guage isn't working properly. When I drive it... Even now withthose numbers I don't take the car over 3000 RPM, I've only pushed it hard like that twice only to see what numbers would show and I didn't push it to the full WOT in fear of what might happen until I get some answers.

And no.. not data logging. Those numbers are from looking at the guage.

How ever just at idle it's 14.5 - 14.7. And just driving it. Doesn't go below 13.0. I know the guy that setup my ECU did max out my injectors to dump as much fuel as possible. (Even tho it's not much). I plan on installing my 450cc Injectors This weekend or early next week. I don't wanna take any chances with this.

Even when I pulled the plugs for a 2nd opinion. They didn't look bad. A tad on the hot side but not burnt and ashed out. Very clean with carbon build up on the threads.

I dunno. I'm going to make and appt to get tuned here in a week or so. Until then... I just need to be safe with it and stay out of the boost.

I would baby the car untill it can be tuned. I would bring your 450's to the tuner, and install them there (As they most likely will not even run with your current tune with stock injectors), or install them, and tow the car to the tuner. In the meantime, stay out of boost! Maybe even rig the wastegate to stay open or something if the car has to be driven (Harder with an external gate). A buddy of mine actually made a small curved pipe that bolted in place of his external wastegate, just so he could get to the tuner 3 hours away without hitting boost, it worked pretty good. Good luck. I have had many boosted cars, but am working on boosting my first honda now, it really is nice to have the aftermarket that these things do!
