Default AEM FIC

So has anyone used the new AEM Fuel Ignition Controler they have out for the S "AEM-30-1911-1002"? Looks like a better vafc and not so much money.

Last I heard they were having issues with it. Can't confirm though and don't know what the issues were exactly.

If I was planning on staying on 7PSI, I would have definitely considered the FIC.

Could be with the learning fuctions?
It seems like a really good deal for the price. Way better than my Vafc. I might just get it and post results.

The problem with the FIC is that it cannot really adjust cam timing.

Other than that it seemed to work OK.

I only know of one guy who used it personally. Had it on a single turbo IS300. He went from the greddy Emanage Ultimate to the FIC and said the difference was night in day. In traffic the city the car drove like stock again with 750cc injectors.

I was going to purchase the Greddy Emanage Ultimate in a couple weeks but maybe this will be a better option. The shop I use really pushes the Emanage but I will wait for dyno results.

According to the list at the bottom the 30-1912 and the 30-1910 are for the S2000, not the 1911, either way I hope they are the same price.

well, not everyone can run stand alone EMS due to emission inspection. i would love to able to run EMS though. so the FIC is the next best thing, it's probably one of the best piggy back out right now. the only draw back is that it's a pain in the *** to wire up, unless you spend another $200 for the boomslang pnp harness which i did.

i'm going to play around with it and then hit the dyno and see what kinda gain i can get just from tuning fuel over the stock ecu.

crazy money for a stock ecu, and even Kpro wont pass inspection if they match they ecu code to chassis.
