Default Various problems with h22a swap(93 Si)

For those who don't know already...it's a 93 Prelude Si 5speed. It has a jdm h22a, jdm p13 ecu, megan header and downpipe, civic radiator, h23a harness, h23a transmission, h23a fpr(no solenoid like on the h22a fpr)...everything seems to be connected/installed properly. I've inspected this thing more times than I can count. All new fluids and everything. It's currently open downpipe.

Anyways...Starts up almost instantly, and will stay running. It roams idle from 1k to 3k constantly, warm or cold...never changes or stops. I did the finger-plug check on the inside of the throttle body...when the bottom hole is plugged, it roams but not as high/hard as before. I think that hole is for FITV? Haven't adjusted FITV yet...and it's from my h23a, but I'm pretty sure there's no difference.

The clutch won't build pressure from bleeding, no leaks found, will go to floor and not come back up. Tried bleeding several times...no change in pedal feel.

Also...I'm getting 4 ECU codes, one of which doesn't seem to exist that I know of.

21 - VTEC Solenoid(installed and wired properly)
22 - VTEC Oil Pressure Switch(installed and wired properly)
36 - No information found.
41 - Heated o2 sensor.(installed and wired properly)

I have 2 weeks to get this thing running like a top and on the road...so any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated. Keep the off topic chatting/jackassery in PM please.

Thanks.

36 is a for traction control, on some JDM ecu's.

The ecu I'm running is a jdm p13 4ws ecu...does this mean that I'll always be throwing a code 36?

I pulled the VTEC solenoid, IACV, and FITV...took them apart, cleaned them thoroughly, boiled the FITV and adjusted it while it was hot...then re-installed everything.

Car idles normally when cold, small roam when warm...before it was roaming really hard cold or hot...so I made at least a little progress.

When the car is running...it makes a screeching sound somewhere around the intake manifold...possibly in or around the throttle body or EGR from the sounds of it. It's an air-screeching/whistling sound, nothing inside the motor.

I am no longer getting any CEL, so I would assume those problems were fixed. All that's wrong is the small roaming idle when warmed up...possibly vacuum leak, which I'm about to test for using carb cleaner.

Still up for suggestions and opinions. Thanks!

After spraying carb cleaner everywhere...especially around the area of the loud wheezing/screeching/whistling type sound...I may have found the vacuum leak.

Sometime in it's life in japan, this motor had new t-body gasket installed. They didn't completely scrape off the old gasket...particularly the bottom right corner. They placed the new gasket over the ripped/stuck sections of old gasket. I pulled the t-body, thoroughly cleaned it and the intake manifold, re-installed...but can't start car until tomorrow due to being so late.

As for the clutch...I took the time to actually do a full bleed, and the clutch did built up pressure but now the pedal won't go down and the slave cylinder piston doesn't move. Does this mean the slave cylinder is bad? A new one is only 20.99 at the local auto parts store. No leaks were found, used Prestone DOT3 fluid.

Car runs great, only throwing 1 code in normal...2 in service.

CEL #7 = TPS
CEL #36 = Traction Control/4ws

The CEL #36 does not light up when running normally, only in service mode which is nice.

To fix the tps, I'll be swapping the h22a throttle body/tps with my h23a throttle body/tps.

The throttle bodies are the same...are the TPS on each one the same as well?

yeah, 36 doesn't cause any issues or make the check engine light come on.. You'll just get 36 every time you check codes.
