Bent Valves????? Setup & Dyno Sheet Included
Well I think I bent some valves at the track last weekend. I have a fully built H22a1 in my 99 prelude, and the only thing I didn't do was replace valves. Stock valves with High Rev Springs and retainers.....I was running 9 psi, took it to 7500 RPMS first time ever over 4500 RPMS as the work was just done about 1800 miles ago. What should I do? Who makes some nice SS Valves that won't cost me my fishin tackle?? Anything else I should look at replacing?
My Setup:
H22a1
Honda Accord Tranny (94-97)
Turbonetics 60-1 HiFi 70 Trim
Custom Manifold
Sleeved Block
9-1 Arias Pistons
Eagle Rods
Total Seal Rings (I Think)
Custom Piping
Spearco Intercooler
RC 720 cc's
STR Fuel Rail
Accel DFI Standalone
MSD 6AL
Holley FPR
ATR In Tank Pump
Greddy Profec B

At the time we dyno'd it I had an MSD SCI-L And it was going bad, andfinally took a dump, When I replaced it with the 6AL It cleared it up with no hestitation or Dips
The first thing id do is get a new tuner cause your graff doesnt look to good. You didnt really state what your probelm was???

Bogus graph? Torque and Horsepower didn't crossover at the appropriate point.
I realize you're just repeating what you read in the civic forum but at least read that whole thread before posting as someone clearly states "HP and torque will indeed cross at 5252 on a graph, but only when the torque and hp are on the same scale" If you look at the above graph the scale for hp is on the left and torque is on the right...both different.--Ian
i see you think you have total seal rings.... well check out thies post

My Ignition was at fault for the crappy dyno, I replaced it with a 6AL from an SCI and there are no longert any dips in the powerband. Anyways, I waited until about 1800 miles to get on it, Never took it past 4500 RPMS, I took it to about 7500 RPMS and then the boost gauge still read 9 PSI, but It felt like I was driving a stock civic auto. I was getting boost, had great oil pressure, but NO power. Now I'm hearing a slight tick sound, and my idle is really crappy, the tick soundslike it's coming from the valvetrain.
