What needs to be replaced when...?
Alright guys i just picked up a great deal on a 95. now i am starting to fix a few small issues..
now here is what is happened..
when i press on the brakes, it grabs, but then the pedals sinks in really slowly, and of course loosing its grip on the rotor.
*I think that there is air in the lines.
if this is the case, do you have to bleed all for or can you bleed from one caliper.
*I also think that brake cylinder may be bad/leaky
*On another note: The current brake fluid just looks ugly. Can i drain that and from somewhere and re-fill it?
(sorry when it comes to brakes, i just am a nOOb i guess)
I just picked up all new front brakes either way. so that will be taken care of.
what do you guys think? your wealth of knowledge is greating appreciated.

So you have a soft pedal feel. More that likely you have a leaking brake booster. Look under the hood on the left firewall there is a big round thing that sound look like this

you can visually tell if it is leaking. the paint around the bottom would be all bubblely and missing. if it is you need to replace your booster. Or do a functions test. Heres how:With the engine stopped, depress the brake pedal several times to deplete the vacuum reservoir, then depress the pedal hard and hold it for about 10 to 15 seconds. If the pedal sinks, either the master cylinder is bypassing internally, or the brake system master cylinder, lines, modulator, proportioning valve, or caliperare leaking.
Start the engine with the pedal depressed. If the pedal sinks slightly, the vacuum booster is operating normally. If the pedal height does not vary, the booster or check valve is faulty.
With the engine running, depress the brake pedal lightly. Apply just enough pressure to hold back automatic transmission creep. If the brake pedal sinks more than an inch or so in three minutes, the master cylinder is faulty. make sure you have your A/C off, cause this will cause it to sink when it kicks in due to vacuum..
If not you should get a buddy to help you and have him or you can do it, depress the brakes and see if there is any fluid in a pin hole on your brake lines

Yes it prob need changing.. Go get a large bottle of DOT 3 or 4 BF and get a buddy. i think that you might need a set of Metric combo wrenches sizes 8-12. I cant remember what size the bleeders are. Also go to Wal-mart and get a turkey baster the cheap one. get and old pepsi bottle and put a hole in the cap and get some old vacuum line small size. Make sure you are on a flat and level as possible surface too. Open you BF resivoir and suck out the BF, be careful the BF will eat your paint if you let it sit on there wipe off as soon as possible. once you get all the old fluid out take and fill it up to the MAX line. now comes the fun part. go to the back right tire and there is a bleeder valve on the caliper
with the hose on the bleeder and have your friend pump the brake a few times and then hold stedy preesure on it, loosen the bleeder, the pedal should go to the floor. once on the floor close the bleeder. then repeat until you get new fluid coming out. Make sure you refill the BF reszy. once you are done with the back right move to the front left, then to the rear left, and then the right front. you might want to bleed the ABS Modulator also If you want to let me know I i will tell you how to do that also.
