So im installing my Koni Reds with Skunk2 Coil Sleeves, I started on my rear, took the old **** off, and put the new stuff on, but after putting the car back on the ground I went inside to see how it all looked and heres what I saw:



Is this WAY to high? Its way higher than OEM thats for sure, which is to be expected, but it looks REALLY high, am I just crazy, did I mess something up?

Thats not how it was on the OEM ones...

Does the strut need to be compressed when installing? That seems to make everything line up when I compress the strut, but I cant keep it compressed while I put it on can I?

The gold one is on top, theres another washer on the bottom that needed to be put in..

Yes, I'm an idiot that couldn't figure out how to remove and replace a part.

I mean.. look at your first [freak]ing post.. this picture says it all.



The thick washer goes UNDER the top hat, it supports the weight of the vehicle. it's a specialty washer that fits snug against the shock shaft. Then the top hat/bushing, then the smaller washer and the nut that snugs the whole assembly together.

You, sir, are a [freak]ing chump and need to lighten up.

 

Either you are missing the bottom washer that goes under the shock tower or the metal dustboot that does on the shock.

Been there, done that! LOL

You, sir, have no idea what you're talking about.

The washer pictured is right where its supposed to be, on top of the rubber part of the top hat.

There is another washer that goes underneath it, that I left out. So no, that gold washer does not go underneath the top hat... If you would have read my post you wouldn't have made an *** of yourself.

 

Can we be a little more civil, please? The guy asked a sincere question - there's no need to throw hammers and accusations of retardation around.

We don't all get it right the first time. He's certainly not the first person to leave out that washer, and he won't be the last.

 

Mine have gold washers top and bottom. So you like them now that they are fixed Gobbles?
