Default diagnose input shaft / clutch

when shifting into neutral the clutch does not disengage as if it was in gear. I change the pilot bearing and I suspect the input shaft because it has a little play in it. It is not all the way stiff. How do I diagnose this problem? I have changed the pilot bearing and this is happening after installing a new clutch. I am close to 100 percent sure I am installing it right because I have change this clutch before with no problems.

it sounds like it might not be in right, did you change the through out bearings? If you already changed it once and you had to do it again then either your getting bad clutches or something ain't right

Obviously something aint right, but I am trying to rule out stuff. Every part is being installed is new. When I say I've done it before is when I changed my engine. I also changed the clutch. The one I changed then ran fine. That was at least 80,00 miles ago.
