Default Tein Mono Flex and more....

Ok so I am going to upgrade my whole suspension set-up this summer and need some advise. Currently I hav SK2 slip-on coil overs, Tokico blues, Megan rear tie bar, and I put an SI rear sway bar on. The car is a 2000 Civic EX. I plan on road racing and some drag racing in the near future. So I want to get the Tein Mono Flex w/ the EDFC and I also wanted to upgrade the sway bars and LCA's. I know I am going to spend a lot of money on the set-up, so thats not a concern of mine. What else should I get and/or what brands of LCA's and sway bars? Any input would be great.

No one can help? A lot of people have looked and no response? About 77 people to be exact.

If you're going to upgrade the rear sway, you'll need to upgrade to an ASR subframe brace as well. EK subframes are weak. Even with the ASR subframe brace, I've seen EK's tear them off with an ITR rear sway. The best way to prevent that is to weld in a CTR subframe brace but that's not really feasible due to the scarcity of that subframe.

If you go with a mono flex setup, that's fine. LCA's, depends on how much bling you want. You should keep the front sway stock for now. After you finish your suspension mods, best thing you can is "tune" your setup which means get the car corner balanced, and aligned.

Thanks for the help. Does the ASR sub frame brace include a sway bar? Yea I plan on having the car corner balanced after I get my cage put in.

yeah asr do have their own sway bar, i think its 24mm (correct me if im wrong). IMO itr 22mm sway bar is good enough with an ASR subframe or comptech. i also think asr looks better then the comptech bar but i remember seeing a chart saying comptech is stronger. if you have the money go with Function 7 lca. they are beefy and looks good. i have some purple srr lca. i think they look cool, prob the only two lca's id buy are srr and function 7...jsut my opinion

Go with something cheaper since you havnt tracked the car before. Tein Mono Flex's are pretty stiff and your probably a beginner. Its better off to start learning from softer rates then moving up and seeing what rates you are comfortable with. Stick with the skunk 2's you have now and get a asr sway bar and brace for some added rotation. With something such as Mono Flex your guaranteed to spin out easily with such high rates and uncontrolled car handling.

Well yes I am a beginner. I can get really good deals on tein products at my shop. Also I don't want to spend the money twice. The mono flex can be adjusted. I have been thinking about going down to just the Flex. Since that ASR brace was brought to my attention. The problem I think I am having now with the SK2's is that the shocks are bottoming out before the spring reaches its end. I just don't like the suspension anymore. I have the chance to get something good and I don't want to waste it. I have driven my car pretty hard in the mountains, and I just want something that will take my car through the corners confidently. I know tires play a major role in that as well. Thats my next step.
