Default 5th gen black light housings?

so i am getting pretty bored and i am looking for more DIY's to keep me entertained. sooo.. i was thinking of doing my headlight housings black. the only thing is i have never really seen it or know if it even looks good. i tried searching all i got was 4th gen stuff. so if someone can hit me up with a pic it would be greatly appreciated.

ok cool ya i think i looks fantastic, ging to do this one on my next day off. quick question though i just paint the stuff that is not used to reflect the light right?...if you get what i am saying haha

When you take your lights apart, you'll see that the trim piece is attached to the lense with 2 phillps head screws that you need to take out and that's all

alright thanks to both of you, i will be doing this and proabably posting a thread about it when i am done. one more question off topic but not. retrofitting is for halogen right? not hid? or does it go for both?

it's POSSIBLE for both but generally you would upgrade to hids. i mean.. you're throwing all that money into it.. might as well go w/ hids. brian does great retros ^ he's the guy to get in touch with. i'm still waiting for my parts to come in so i can get this rolling.

saw a write up diy black housing for 4th gen. the whole oven part kinda makes me not wanna do this especially since i didnt see a temp. and i dont want a melted headlight in my oven....any *other* recommendation for opening and sealing headlight? or....what temp. and time do u use in the oven?

When I bake the headlights, I usually put the oven at around 300 degrees and leave them in there for about 5-10min. Then just do everything in reverse when sealing it back up
