Default DIY: Dome light LED replacement

I recently did a mod on LED dome light for my 93 civic hatchback and took some pics to show you guys.

I didn't do a lot of searching. Just ebay a LED light replacement.

This is the one i got:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...&rd=1

This was not made to fit right into the oem one, so there are modifications. For me i just forced it in and basically one of the sides are pushed in while still in contact with the circuit. I should have modified it so it sits on the side instead below the contacts. I'll do that some other day. Or to be safe because it comes with 3M double adhesive tape, so you can tape it outside the dome. Doesn't look as good but you can customize it or whatever to make the LED point on a different direction and angle.

Anyway so i replaced it and here is how it looks.

OEM:

LED:

I also calculated with my Light Meter and found out the new light is 3 stops brighter, meaning 8X more bright than the OEM one.

Enjoy!
