Hello everyone. New to the forums; I hope someone can help with a strange issue I'm having. I've already searched here and at several other civic sites - haven't found anything.

The airbag light (not the side airbag light) on my 2007 EX has recently started staying on after I start the car. The strange part is that it only stays on once out of maybe every 15 to 20 times I start the car. It will stay on as long as I drive the car. However, all I have to do is shut the car off and restart it and the light goes off like it should. I then have another 15 to 20 starts before the light will stay on again. This has been a pretty consistent pattern over the last three weeks or so.

Anyone know what the deal could be? Also, FYI, I've already tried disconnecting the battery for over an hour to reset - didn't work.

I have this same issue in my SI. Every so often the light stays on, but then just turns off by its self. I haven't worried about it too much because the light never comes on if someone is sitting in the passenger seat.

 

Same issue with my Si.

The dealer ordered a new SRS computer, under waranty.

 

I know there was a couple of bulletins/recalls in regards to the SRS light being on. Ask ur dealership about em...

 

bring it back to the dealer it should be a cover repair

 

Thanks for the replies everyone. I was hoping there was a quick fix that didn't involve returning to the dealer (my closest is 40 minutes away). Doesn't look that way, but at least I'm not the first with this issue.
