Default telescoping gauge??

ok just wanted to know if telescoping gauges can be use to measure crank journal housing?

yep I don't see why not. I used a inside mic and used a outside mic to measure it. just take many measurements to compare your numbers.

so i can say forget the expensive 200-300 dollasr dial bore gauge?

bore gauges are sweet if you're going to be building engines quite often get that over the telescoping gauge. its much easier to use , but if $ is tight decide on whats going to suit your needs.
