Default FITV Cap Problem

Hello All, Was hopeing one of you can help me. While fixing the FITV (screwing in the Plastic/Wax plug), as I was unscrewing the two screws that hold on the cap, one of the screws broke off. Is this fixable? I used silicone sealant but do not know if it will create problems. The car is sitting while drying but how much pressure if any is in that cap? Do I need a new FITV?

Thanks in advance
S

Default Re: FITV Cap Problem (Stadler)

you can drill it and use an ez-out. i would take everything out and heat it up first for better success. or just drill it out completely and re-tap it to a slightly bigger size with a new screw. it IS fixable
