CRX D16 PCV BLACK BOX
On the D16 engine is there a hose running from the intake manifold down to the pcv black box on the back of the motor? I am not familar with the black box on the motor i've just seen pictures and from the looks of it i'm going to assume the box sorta plugs into the back of the block and is used as somewhat of a catch can system. And with my turbo setup im wondering if its fair to say that if the line does run from the intake manifold to the pcv box that when i'm boosting, the boost is going from the intake and forcing itself to the pcv box and pushing past it the pcv valve in there and going into the crankcase.
yes, there is a hose. but the pcv is a one way valve, and if its functioning properly, that wont happen. ideally, what you should do, is remove the pcv valve and run the hose that comes from the black box to a vented catch can. do the same with the hose coming off the valve cover. cap the hose coming off the intake manifold that goes to the pcv valve too. thats the cheapest, easiest way to vent the crank case on a sohc.

Does anyone have pictures of this under & behind the engine???

I broke my PCV PLASTIC line. Now have 1 400-degree transmission line & a larger vacuum line encasing it.
My NAPA PCV valve is too big for the smaller line - so I'm going to hook up & hose clamp the PCV valve to the 2 hoses @ the "rail" & thru the hole.
Then hopefully the smaller hose will just "slide on" a "nipple" at the crank case???
I'm hoping I can do this from under car with a 2.5 ton "shop" floor jack.
Do I seem some what intelligent?
Please send pics or post here.
This is .my 2nd honda in my 50+ yyears as a Honda owner.. So ALL supporting help is appreciated!
