hondata s100+MBC vs s300
well starting to get everything put together on my setup. Have a gsr in a 92vx and decided to go with the edelbrock turbo kit. And before anyone says that I can piece up a kit or get a better kit for less, I want everything completely smog legal. Car is already bar'd.
Goals for the car is just to have a fun DD nothing crazy or over the top. Stock numbers show 250 who, so I'm thinking 275-290 should be achievable. I dont need to mess with different boost setting or anything like that. So my question is is the s300 system that much better for the price compared to the s100 with a MBC. the s100 and running a MBC would be half the price then the s300 would that be sufficient?

Hondata S300 lists for ~$600
Neptune RTP can be bought for $400
eCtune Pro as flexable as both for $375 (license+Ostrich)
For what you want, eCtune seems the best. You can use the staged MBC option for less boost in 1st/2nd if needed, and you can always upgrade to the electronic boost option in the future. Based on how I read it, you could save $100 and get the DIY version, yet still get the 2-stage MBC option.
But if you're stuck on Hondata, get the s300. You can always upgrade, plus if you ever sell it, it has a far higher resale value than s100.
