Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump installation

Default Aeromotive A1000 fuel pump installation

An Aeromotive tech told me that this pump requires a -10AN feel line from the tank to the pump. I've been using -8AN. I still plan on running -8AN on the outlet but should I switch the inlet to -10AN? Am I starving the pump by having -8AN inlet feed? I'm having issue with this pump that I recently installed. I think the motor might have seized. Any of you with this pump, what size inlet line are you running?

You should run the correct size inlet. People will tell you anything you want to hear.

The company making the pump knows best.

Also be careful with terminal post don't over tighten the nut's. Been there, done that.

I will go with Aeromotive's advice to have a -10AN inlet. This is a popular pump so I was wondering what other people are doing in their setups.

Ours had a -12 inlet, and that's what we fed it with.

i run -10 from sump to pump and pump to rail. -6 return. i use the A1000 too.
