New Motor... Idle at 250 RPM's... and stalling at stops... try'd other forums... can you help????? D
Hey there guys... Well, it seems that my crx idles off the Dashpot only and if you take your finger and pull the lever back on it...the car dies.... no matter if the car is cold or warmed up... and the idle screw has almost no effect on the idle.... so there is a problem there somewhere... Maybe this is the nature of the beast with the Delta cams not dialed in, but im not thinking so......
After it is warmed up, it fires up in the first second of cranking----- idles at like 250 RPM's off of the dashpot---- does not want to be driven for about 1 minute till she warms up a bit (my girl is the same way!!!).... then pulls out and drives fine----- pulling up to a stop.... she stalls out when you clutch in under 10mph, unless you can keep one foot on the gas while clutching and braking to a stop... but it rev's like a Lambo and easily hits 3-5krmps trying to keep it from stalling---- after stalling---- hit the ign one time.... fires right up, and pulls away from the stop fine!.... Only other thing i noticed... when you are driving... and you coast down a hill... say off gas for 10 seconds or so.... CEL comes on... but does not store a code... and if you key off while still rolling.... and key back on... CEL is gone...... REALLY STARTING TO BUM ME OUT!!!
Throttle body is clean like new... and is not plugged in any way...
EACV or IAC is Fine... as i tried two of them...
Tried un Modded P06 ECU....

Stock OBD-1 injectors
Delta 272 cams
CP 11.5:1 pistons (((( Specific Nitrous pistons ))))
Scat H-beam rods
JG dual springs with tit/retainers
JG Cam Gears
Unorthodox racing crank pulley
TD- 43u OBD -1 dizzy.....

Thats what i was gunna say check ur map sensor on the top of the throttle body or it may be a vaccume line that goes to a mpa sensor depending on what throttle body your using.

Just so strange.... when i finished the build... it ran fine, i started it and ran it up to temp like 15 times, so.... i adjusted the valves since everything was seated and after that.... it runs like this....i dont think it had anything to do with it but i went back and checked the ajustments again... and it is all 100%....... as for the MAP sensor.... i will try another one today.... as i have a box of extra stuff i get from the junkyard all the time..... when i see something that looks like it got replaces recently.... i get it!... lol

Tried a new EACV or Idle Air motor..... and a new P06 ECU Un-modded..... no change..... car runs very, very strong when on the throttle....... decided to check my harness last night sitting in bed... I went over every wire on that harness that i made...... found that i reversed the "Heater" and the second "Ground" to my 4 wire o2 sensor....... the one that goes to D22...... so i will fix that today... and try again... it was not giving me a code.... so that is strange.... maybe that is it!!!!!!!!!!!?????????????????

Well..... i put a new Idle Air motor on it... and swapped out the Chipped/Ostrich P06 i have for another un-Modded one..... Still no change..... Im going to swap out the fuel injectors maybe tomorrow... for some DSM 450's..... and tune it down for them..... I notice that the spark plugs are very very rich.... and i cant remember what i pulled the injectors out of... i know it was a 92-95 honda of some type.... but i think they are all the same size???....Here are a few videos... if they will work.... saved on youtube...

Cam/Crank Timing is 100% dead on...
Idle Air motor Checked out...and swapped out...
TPS tested good with multi-meter and set right....
Idle Screw in Throttle body is free and clear... flows fine....
Fuel pressure vac unhooked 44-45psi... hooked up 40-41psi....
Idles at Barely 250rpms.... Dashpot keeping it running....
Bump Idle with Ostrich has NO EFFECT what so ever....
Brand new TD-03U Dizzy....
Cam Gears set to 0deg....
No CEL when running or idleing..... CEL when coasting at around 20+mph....does not store code....
If you have any clue what so ever is going on........... PLEASE SHOOT ME..... a PM... or post on here.... no stupid answers..... i only have stupid questions!!!

How are you tuning it for the injectors?
Have you adjusted the TPS to read the proper voltage closed?

via... Ostrich....... yea.. the TPS reads .4 volts....
Also I put in a new Walbro HP pump like 2 years ago... and used it for like 3 months...... been sitting a while now... waiting on the new motor to be finished.... i checked it too, now... and has hella pressure... have it tuned down to 45psi via B&M fuel pressure regulator.......
I pulled the Spark plugs and it is running real rich!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have checked the wiring from the ecu to the injectors... and they are 100% right, without a doubt.....
