Default TD05H 14b on a gsr?

there's a guy who is selling this turbo, sidemount i/c, and some dsm 450cc injectors...

goals: 225-250 hp on rebuilt stock motor (b18c1), including stock head.. (might have to bore to 81.5mm, need to take the motor to the shop for the guy to look at) I want a fairly quick spool for a spirited daily driver...

or ??? is the turbo suitable?? I've been doing some reading and read that it might be a bit of headache with respect to the manifold?

any help would be greatly appreciated!

thanks..

edit: turbo flows 405cfm.. suitable?

That turbo is too small. I used it on my F20Z1, and I'm currently changing to another turbo. It's such a tiny turbo, it runs out of breath really quick and you have to turn the boost up quite high to reach such hp goals. Personally, I wouldn't do it..

Any turbo will work, but there are some that work better than others. The 14b is a terrible decision. Its much too small to support the GSR past VTEC engagement. The T3 that you linked will have much the same issues. The only T3 i could ever see working on a GSR is the T3 Super 60. Other than that, i would go with a hybrid.

i agree that the 14g is too small for a gsr motor. if you want to go with a greddy turbo i would recommend the 18g. i have that on my gsr motor and i'm making 257whp on 8-10psi and i still have some more tuning to do. if you want a garrett i would go with a gt28 series turbo.

Another good, cost-effective option is the divided 16g from the new Evos. You'll need a custom manifold built for it, but for the price, those turbos can make some decent power with great spool for the street. There have been a few people in the past who have had great success with them. It may be worth checking out

In fact, I'm in the process of changing my 14B to a divided 16G from an Evo;-)
