Broken Gas Door??

Broken Gas Door??
My gas door latch no longer works. The small black button broke off and the rest of the wire is in the quarter panel. How can I fix this. Do i need to remove the interior panels to access these pieces??

to access the cable remove the left rear panel, the rear seats, the panel at the bottom of the door opening, and pull the cover off of the gas door/trunk release.
hopefully you just need to replace the cable.
