Default 500whp boosted k20 drag help

I'm looking for some help/pointers on how to get my 60ft.'s and et down on my hatch. I've only had the car out one time and made 2 passes. Not too bad I didn't think for first time out. this is my first boosted setup so I'm looking for advice from experienced boosted drivers.

setup...stock k20a2/ gt3582/ 24.5'' slicks/ skunk2 coilovers on kyb agx struts/open diff.

car made 498whp 326tq. on 13psi.

1st pass...2.18 60ft....11.34 @ 133mph left at 7000 not on 2step/preloaded/12psi tires. smoked the passenger tire coming off the line.

2nd pass...1.921 60ft....10.94 @ 133mph left at 5000 on half throttle 2step/preloaded slipping the clutch to get out of the hole without spinning/10psi tires

Here is a vid of my 10.9 run as you can see I came out of the hole really slow but I tried not to come out spinning. Any feedback as to what I can do would help. Should I lower the tire psi and set 2step back at 7k and launch off boost? Throw me any ideas you got...thanks in advance.

How stock is when you say stock? your doing hella good with an open end diff from what I say. with an lsd you'll see better 60's

1.6's are possible on a open diff, lsd helps alot more with axle life then it does traction.

Never said that it wasn't possible to achieve those 60ft times with the open diff. Also I agree with your statement but I do believe he can look forward to improving the 60 some more while putting more stress on the hubs.

leave at 6500-7000 and lower yer tire pressure bud. 10 is alot.. try 7.5...

keep pre-loading.. if yer still spinning, try going a little lower in tire pressure in small increments

That's what I was planning on doing next time out but I wasn't sure if it was good to take my tire psi that low or not lowest i've went before on any of my setups has been 9psi.

should I leave at 7k off the 2step so it doesn't build boost or do I need to build boost off the line to get my 60' down?

Damn good times... I'm still very impressed with the capabilities of a k20.

LSD unit is going to be your best friend. You may have 1 outta 10 pass where the open diff will catch. LSD is going to help eliminate torque steer off to one side which looks like you have a lil of that going on. I would imagine LSD would get you another .3

I am sure you already have a traction bar system correct?

ive pulled faster 60' with my open diff than my lsd actually (1.69), i would recommend preloading, using your 2 step, if your spinning bad in first let it bounce the limiter a few times to get up to speed before you shift, at ntr i managed a 1.7x 60' while spinning like mad and pulling hardcore to the left, i wouldnt launch it at 5k, youd prob be better off spinning some.....

LOL... I like your guestimate. Unfortunately, its not true.

I myself have ran plenty of runs diff-less and while i havent had the best 60's on the planet, ive had plenty of success without it..

.3 ayy...

This isnt Gran Turismo 3, where every car part equates to a better quarter mile time. lol....

24.5" slicks can be ran at 5psi no problem.
try launching around 7500 with 6-7 psi in slicks

I think this is what I'm going to try next time out but try to launch at 7k. Should I launch off 2step to build boost or leave it at about 50% throttle so I'm not building much or any at all?

I saw your run that day you were spinning really bad but it did take off the line a lot better than mine. I kind of regret easing it off the line like I did but at least I got a couple good test runs in to see what the car feels like. What did you launch at sunday?
