Default help prepping for paint job

i was gonna get my front bumper and trunk repainted but i don't have lotta money so i thought maybe i can prep it my self and just get it painted by someone else.

my trunk is water locked and has few bumps and last owner tried to use touch up paint but that didnt work out too well..

my front bumper just have some cracks and paint chips no deep dings

as you can see im a noob

could some of u techs help me out how to get ready to paint step by step?

Most shops taht do paint will redo any prep you do, simply because they want to be able to warranty it. But if you want to try then you will want to wetsand the trunk down with 600 wet and dry (3M sells the best paper) and use a soft block, as for the front bumper you will need to do bodywork on it, not just wetsand it out...And you will need to use a flexible body filler flexibilise the primer and the clear on that.
